Dave is an international sailor. His first ship was the Golden Hinde, a replica of an English Galleon belonging to one of the Caribbean's great explorers, Sir Francis Drake. He is a skilled seaman who lends his knowledge to all who come in contact with him. Dave spent 4 summers on square-riggers and top sail schooners teaching young students the proverbial ropes of seamanship.
Dave has served as a deck hand, a bosun, and a Captain on various vessels. He holds his 100 GT United States Coast Guard Master's License with auxilliary sail and commercial towing assistance endorsments. He is currently working on his 200 GT license. Dave has sailed the United States East Coast, the Bahamas, the North Sea, the Baltic Sea, the Irish Sea, the Great Lakes, the Gulf of Mexico, made a trans-Atlantic from Boston, Maine,to Liverpool, England. He has literally been from Main to Spain.
